Mashhad is one of the three holy cities of Iran. Mashhad, which means "place of martyrdom", owes its fame for the shrine of Imam Reza. Today we will visit the Mausoleum of Imam Reza (outside only) and the surrounding buildings such as Gohar Shad Mosque, dating back to the fifteenth century, embellished with a blue tiled façade and a turquoise dome.
