Itinerary

Day 1: Old Quarter Sightseeing

Transferring from Shiraz international airport to the city center, start with Nasir al Molk Mosque named in popular culture as the “Pink Mosque”, due to the usage of considerable pink color tiles. Then we go to visit Narejestan e Ghavam. Afterward, we visit Zandiyeh Complex that includes Citadel, Bath, Mosque and the Traditional Bazaar. You can buy beautiful handicrafts, including Kilim, Gabe, Carpet, Mina, Khatam, silver accessories in Saraya Fil and Saraye Moshir corridors.

Day 2: UNESCO Heritage Site Tour

An excursion to visit some parts of the Sassanid archeological and historical landscape (UNESCO world heritage site). We will drive to Kazeroon (about 3-hour drive) to visit Bishapur Ancient City and its reliefs, Sassanid Anahita Temple, and Tang e Chogan. We can arrange a picnic near the river. Back to Shiraz during the afternoon.

In the morning Drive to Marvdasht to visit Persepolis (about 1-hour driving). Persepolis or Takht_e Jamshid is one of the masterpieces of Iran, that belongs to the history of all people around the World. UNESCO declared Persepolis as a World Heritage Site in 1979. Then we visit Necropolis or Naqhshe Rostam located near Persepolis. During the afternoon we will return to Shiraz and out pilgrimage tour starts by visiting Aliebne Hamzeh or Astaneh holy shrine, Atigh Mosque and Khodaykhaneh or Shahecheragh holy shrine, that all mentioned sacred places represent the unique Islamic architecture.

Day 4: Garden & Culinary Tour

Shiraz is the birthplace of first paradigms of marvelously attractive Persian Gardens. Visiting Eram garden the UNESCO heritage site in the morning, going to Ghasredasht Gardens and walking in the winding alleys. During the afternoon we will attend in a traditional Persian cooking course learning Iranian food recipes and enjoying cooking your own Persian dish.

In the morning, we’ll drive to mountainous village of Sepidan (about 1:30’ driving) to visit nomads. Where you can visit people with a very simple life addressing their needs by primary materials. There you can visit their hand-woven black tents and women cooking bread and make beautiful handicrafts. In winter you can go skiing in Pooladkaf Ski Resort.
