Itinerary
Day 1: Isfahan-shahrekord
Strat from a central point inside the city of Isfahan.
Drive to Shahrekord city, the center of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province, which takes about an hour and a half. Start with Jame mosque of Sharekord and then going to visit Chaleshtor historical Castle, a mixture of Iranian and Europian architecture belongs to Safavid era, drive toward Koohrang, we will visit the Sheykh Ali Khan waterfall, the first Koohrang tunnel, Dimeh spring from Dimeh village, and Shir Sangi Statue (Stony Lion), Overnight in Koohrang
Day 2: Nomad Day
Today is dedicated to our excursion toward a different lifestyle where Bakhtiyari or Qashqayi nomad live. Nomads or Kooch-Neshinan in farsi language, are groups of people who migrate seasonally from Yeylagh (cooler places) to Qeshlagh (Warmer places) mostly during spring and summer. Currently one of the largest nomadic populations in the world are leaving in Iran and theirs amazing black tents can be found on the skirts of Zagros mountain range where they live in harmony with the surrounding environment. These areas are also famous for some beautiful villages and a unique kind of Lilly flower named fritillaria imperialis or crown imperialis. overnight in Shahrekord
Day 3: Bird watching day
After breakfast we will drive to a beautiful lagoon named Choqa-khor, there we can visit different kinds of birds and listen to their calls and songs. The bird watching tour depends on the season of your Iran visit. If the time doesn’t suit, visiting one of the Stunning Bakhtiari Villages will be one of our alternative options. Sar Agha Seyyed village is one of the great examples.
